Rumor has it.
Brand is a buzz word that seems to cover a lot of different element of a business. Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, says, “your brand is what other people say about you when you’re not in the room.” So, brand is your reputation. It’s your story as understood by consumers. Brand gives you a personality that helps consumers decide if they connect with you. It’s beyond your products and services. So how can you create or build your brand if its an opinion of others? It is an art, a science, a little luck and a whole lot of hard work! But in the end when a company places emphasis on their brand consumers notice.
Who’s driving this train?
Data Driven Marketing is a term that marketing experts like to throw around a lot, mostly because it’s amazing but also because it is PROVEN. With so many marketing tools linked to online components it’s easy to collect data at each step of your customers journey. Analytics can help us see what’s popular on our websites. It shows us what content motivates someone to open, or even better click into an email. Data show us what’s hashtag trending socially. And it even shows us what onsite or remote-site interactive sales tools are most effective. We suppose that’s why so many marketing exports insist on using digital, proven marketing tactics.
Is Content Still King?
It’s been over 25 years since Bill Gates coined the now iconic phrase “content is king” and yet many are still striving to figure out what exactly it means. It has certainly grown for the purpose of attracting search engine algorithms….but we think there is a lot more to it. Content, or rather valuable content is what provides an audience with something meaningful. It is what gives someone pause, or creates a moment of awareness, trust, betterment, happiness, etc. When content is done right, the reader is better off is some way than before they read said content. This certainly can be done with witty words that educate however experiences that allow the audience to interact and discover information tend to provide greater value and help to propel your brand forward.
